Marywoods Academy was founded in 2002. It began as a preschool. At the urging of the parents of pupils enrolled in the school, Marywoods began its elementary program in 2004 and has since grown to include the high school level.
Marywoods Academy is non-sectarian school. It is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission as a non-stock, non-profit educational institution.
In 2009, Marywoods became a licensed member of “The Leader in Me” program of FranklinCovey, Inc.
